Biographical Note
Victor Kayfetz was a student at Columbia College between 1962 and 1966 and served as photography editor of Spectator from early 1964 to late 1965 when he stepped down on his own initiative. In 1966-1967 he studied at Stockholm University on a travelling fellowship from Columbia and in 1967-1970 he was a graduate student at Berkeley, focusing on Scandinavian studies.

Summary
This image collection consists of one black leather album containing 105 archive-quality 5x7 inch historic photos (of which 90 are manually darkroom-produced, black-and-white enlargements, mainly from negatives) depicting Columbia College student life and related current events during 1963-1965, plus photo captions totaling about 1,800 words. Also 4 CDs totaling 39 digitally reproduced color and B&W images.
Topics include everyday student news and events from the mid 1960s, as well as protests by Columbia students at the opening of the World's Fair, Berkeley activist Mario Savio's visit to Columbia, and speeches on campus by Robert F. Kennedy and Dwight D. Eisenhower.
