Biographical / Historical

Russell M. Boak's early architectural career was as a draftsman in the office of Emery Roth. In 1927, Boak and fellow Emery Roth draftsman Hyman F. Paris founded their firm Boak & Paris. Paris retired in 1942, and two years later, Boak partnered with Thomas O. Raad to form Boak & Raad. Their architectural practice primarily pursued commissions for large apartment houses.
 </bioghist>
