Correspondence, working notes, and drafts used by Dowden (b. ca. 1933) in compiling his work A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF WORKS BY ALLEN GINSBERG. Dowden corresponded with many writers, publishers, editors, and libraries in compiling a comprehensive bibliography of Allen Ginsberg's poetry and prose, published before 1 July 1967. Among the correspondents are Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg, John Clellon Holmes, Robert La Vigne, Gerard Malanga, Fernanda Pivano, and Gary Snyder.

The collection comprises 753 cassette tapes; 2 videotapes, and 13 boxes of papers.

Correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, and printed materials of Sypher, reflecting his interest in A.C. Swinburne and in the Estonian poet, Aleksis Rannit. Correspondents include Joseph Hume, Ted Joans, Aleksis Rannit, Enid Starkie, and Algernon Charles Swinburne. There are additional materials on Africa, the Mina dialect in Togo, and the Sypher and related families of New York State.

Incunabula (books printed before 1501) from the various book collections have been shelved together by Goff number, the number assigned in Fredrick Goff's bibliography, Incunabula in American Libraries. There is a separate card catalog by author in RBML. Records for these titles derived from the ISTC (Incunabula Short Title Catalog) are found in CLIO; however they lack subject and other added entries.

This collection of 3,933 volumes is formed from the union of the Spinoza collections of Adolph S. Oko and Carl Gebhardt, and contains material by and about Baruch Spinoza. Purchased and presented to the University by Dr. Simon L. Millner, Mrs. T.W. Lamont, Corliss Lamont, and Mr. E.A. Zabriskie, 1947.

Three volumes of correspondence, including some letterbook copies; many sermons, individually bound; prayers; and other manuscript materials. Correspondenbce is with many of his well known contemporaries and deals largely with matters pertaining to his church or to King's College. Shelved with the collection are two card file boxes containing an old handwritten calendar with abstracts, 1710-1914, a set of cross reference entries, and a calendar of material not at Columbia, 1715-1785.
