Among the letters from literary figures are ten letters from the American novelist and playwright Aʹmelie Rives and her husband, the Russian Prince Pierre Troubetzkoy and letters from other famous authors during the 1920's. There are also letters Margolies collected, including eight letters from Stuyvesant Fish to George Wharton Pepper, on the League of the Preservation of American Independence, on President Wilson and the League of Nations, and letters from Presidents T. Roosevelt and Taft to Harry B. Apt concerning speaking engagements. Most of the many photographs cover the opening of a bookstore in Teheran in 1963, for which there is also additional material.

Collection of letters and ephemera relating to the Judaica book trade, most from 1926-1955. The collection includes correspondence from all over the world, including Vienna, Lisbon, Italy, the United States, and Palestine/Israel. It is notable as a rare glimpse into the world of pre-Holocaust collecting, as well as the early history of Jewish settlement in Palestine. Notable bookdealers and collectors include Biegeleisen (New York), David Frankel (Vienna and New York), Yochanan and Abraham Rubenstein (Haifa), Efraim Keizer (Pressburg) Yehuda Idil Bialistotsky (Slonim), Rubin Mass (Jerusalem), etc. The majority of the collection is in Hebrew, but other languages include English, German, and French.

Letters to Fletcher, including four letters from Richard Hughes, and twenty-five from Dorothy Leigh Sayers, mostly about the Dante editions which she bought from the Fletchers; seven letters from Samuel Beckett; and letters from the Sitwell brothers primarily concerning items purchased from the Fletchers: Osbert, 142 letters and postcards concerning books purchased, and Sacheverell, 168 letters concerning music covers, engraved writing paper, costume and ballet drawings, etc. purchased as well as books. Also, twenty-one letters and post cards from Eric Gill, who designed and printed a wedding announcement for Mr. Fletcher; and eighteen letters from Will Ransom, dealing with American and English publishers and bookdealers.

The records include administrative documents, minutes, clippings, marketing materials, scrapbooks, posters, photographs, and audiovisual material that reflect the ABA's and its membership's many activities in the last 124 years, from annual conferences and training events, to specific marketing campaigns and intiatives such as Indie Next and the White House library.

The collection contains letters and postcards from a variety of the book store's patrons regarding the sale and acquistion of books. Additionally, there are letters from a variety of correspondents to the literary editors of the New York Herald Tribune submitting work for review in that newspaper.

There are approximately 100 letters from writers and critics such as John Ciardi, Leon Edel, Wallace Fowlie, Robert McAlmon, Alfred E. Smith, William Carlos Williams, and Edmund Wilson. Financial records for the years, 1960-1975, document the operating costs of the shop. Included among these records are many bills from booksellers and auction houses for Gramercy's purchases.

The personal and business papers concern Benjamin's publishing and bookselling company, his numerous benefactions, the disposal of his collections, and many printed catalogs for his company, 1883-1940. The two major correspondents are the business and financial records for the printing, binding, and extensive promotion through a network of agents of Stedman's A LIBRARY OF AMERICAN LITERATURE FROM THE EARLIEST SETTLEMENT TO THE PRESENT TIME; new ed. (New York, W.E. Benjamin, 1894). There are also letters, manuscripts, documents, and drawings of English literary figures collected by Benjamin. Among these are six letters of George Eliot, 47 letters and six manuscripts of John Ruskin, and three letters and one manuscript of Joseph Mallord Turner, with four letters relating to the artist. In addition there ten drawings and watercolors by Ruskin.

Correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, memorabilia, business records, book catalogs and other printed materials of Louis and Marguerite Cohn and their customers, associates and friends. Correspondents include Stephen Vincent Benʹet, Robert Frost, T.S. Eliot, and Marianne Moore, all among the authors represented in the Crown Octavos series published by the House of Books; there are also manuscripts, proofs and correspondence with printers for this series. Other correspondents include Cyril Connolly, W. Somerset Maugham and Tom Stoppard. Also in the collection are letters and manuscripts from the stock of the shop; notable among these are a series of Graham Greene letters and pages from an autograph book which contains entries from many turn of the century American Literary figures. The collection also include the personal memorabilia of the Cohn and Arnold families. Louis Cohn's participation in World War I as an officer in the French Army is recorded in photographs, documents and memorabilia. Marguerite's childhood collections, among them many early greeting cards, are also included.

The correspondence consists of general files, information, and correspondence about surveys on career patterns of women in publishing. The documents include incorporation papers and related information, membership lists, data on local chapters, reports of the board, minutes of annual meetings, and the elections of officers. The material in this collection was originally housed in binders in Barney Rosset's New York apartment, and cover his personal and professional endeavors as a radical publisher, intellectual, and overall man of letters. It consists of writings, letters, photographs, interviews, films, catalogs, publishing files related to both Grove Press and Evergreen Review, and extensive biographical information on Rosset. The entire collection has been rehoused into archival quality boxes and folders. Each binder had been labeled, generally with some sort of topical or chronological designation. In most cases the binder labels will be retained as file titles, and the subdivisions within binders have become folders and retained, to a great extent, the titles assigned to them by the creator. In some cases the staff of the RBML altered or elaborated on existing folder titles for general clarity and ease of research. In some cases, the collection contains both original and typed (or transcribed) copies, the latter often taking the form of computer printouts that were originally held in binders marked "Master" or "Master Disk" to indicate their contents were on computer disks. These original binder titles have been kept throughout the finding aid.

Collection of artists' books created by artists participating in the Al-Mutanabbi Street Coalition; donated by the founder of the coalition Beau Beausoleil between December 2019 and March 2020. Each participating book artist was asked to complete three books over the course of a year that reflected both the strength and fragility of books, but also showed the endurance of the ideas within them.

Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here is an arts initiative and an archival collection, conceived as a response to violence and directed at creating shared cultural spaces. The project and the collection were initiated in 2007 following a car bombing of al-Mutanabbi Street (the street of the booksellers) in Baghdad, Iraq. As of 2019, the archive holds approximately 260 artists' books, 200 prints, and 100 letterpress broadsides as well as 35 photographs (from the newly launched and related project, Shadow and Light).
