China Institute records document the decades-long organizational history of the renowned institute. Established in 1926, China Institute in America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to deepening the world's understanding of China through programs in art, business, culinary, culture, and education. The processed portion of this collection showcases the early years of the Institute's operations, bulk dating between 1931 and 1959. Materials consist of administrative records, correspondence, reports, and manuscripts. The entirety of the collection, which includes records from the 1960s and onwards, is expected to be made available in the fall of 2024.

The Chinese oral history project collection (中國口述歷史項目檔案) provides a wealth of information on the development of the project and its interviews with eminent Chinese political figures abroad in the United States and Hong Kong from 1958 to 1980s. The completed interviews are described separately under the Chinese oral history project, while this collection provides context of creation for the interviews and additional historical documentation on interviewees. The highlights of the collection consist of the administrative subject files, correspondence, interview photographs and reports, transcript drafts, collected autobiographies and manuscripts, audio recording, and card files of names mentioned in the transcripts.

The Committee on Cooperation in Latin America began in 1913 as a result of the Edinburgh World Missionary Conference of 1910. The Committee held the Congress on missionary work in Latin America in Panama in 1916. Records include newspaper articles, questionnaires, field reports and final reports of the eight commissions, correspondence, and minutes.

Henry Boynton Smith (1815-1877) was a Congregational Presbyterian minister, theologian, and Union Theological Seminary professor and librarian. The collection contains correspondence, clippings and scrapbooks, notebooks from his studies in Germany, notes for his courses as well as student notes, and sermons.

Michael Sorkin (1948-2020) was an American architectural critic, educator, and architectural and urban designer primarily based in New York. His design work with his firm Michael Sorkin Studio, consulting work as the president of the non-profit Terreform Center for Advanced Urban Research, academic positions in the United States and Vienna, and his extensive body of publications provided him a public platform to widely share his criticism, design pedagogy and views of architecture. The collection focuses on Sorkin's writings, lecturing, and design work produced between 1978 and 2020. It also includes correspondence, academic work, files on personal life, and consulting or institutional projects.

The Young Mens and Womens Christian Associations were founded as a response to unhealthy social and living conditions in cities at the end of the Industrial Revolution. The collection contains pamphlets, reports, and correspondence regarding the YMCA 19th World Conference in Helsinki, Finland; pamphlets, correspondences, minutes, and questionnaires related to the YMCA Constantinople Branch in Turkey between 1926-1928; reports regarding the history and progress of the YMCA and YWCA in different countries; and pamphlets, questionnaires, records, and history of the YMCA in different parts of the world including Japan, Czechoslovakia, Poland, China and Belgium.

Ada María Isasi-Díaz was an activist, theologian, UTS alumna, and Professor of Ethics and Theology at Drew University. The collection contains lectures, correspondence, working papers, publications and manuscripts, sermons, liturgies, syllabi and teaching notes, conference materials, AV materials, professional awards, and other related materials from the files of Ada María Isasi-Díaz and related to her work with women's organizations.

The Ecumenical Programs at Union Theological Seminary were designed to help students through programs within the Seminary and through exploration of opportunities for exchange study with seminaries around the world. The collection contains correspondence, reports, pamphlets, negatives, slides and other material.

Edwina Dumm (1893-1990) was one of the earliest syndicated women cartoonists, known for her dog and animal centric strips and her delicate line. She was the author of Cap Stubbs and Tippie (1918-1966), Alec the Great (1931-1969), and the illustrator of numerous books about dogs.

Paul Tillich (1886-1956) was a prominent theologian and professor at UTS from 1933-1955. The collection includes speeches, sermons, and other materials; a 1953 stenographic transcription in 4 copies of Tillich's lecture notes for his Spring 1953 course, Church History Systematic Theology 108-Introduction to the History of Christianity; a photocopy and a bound copy of Tillich's Systematic Theology [Vol.1], the preliminary draft meant for his students' private use, in five parts; as well as a separately sourced preliminary draft of Tillich's Systematic Theology [Vol.1] annotated by Eric Gault Finley.
