This collection of records document the professional and personal life of Wm. Theodore de Bary (1919-2017), the renowned scholar, educator, and university administrator who studied and served over decades at Columbia University. The Tsuyee Pei papers document Pei's professional and personal life and provide a glimpse of his career in East Asia and North America during the last years of WWII and the years immediately following. The bulk of the papers consists of correspondences, memoranda, cables and telegrams, and other career files from between 1943 and 1949. These materials highlight Pei's role as first, the general manager of the Bank of China, then, the governor of the Central Bank of China, and offers great details on the development of the banking system in China, wartime aid and relief, foreign exchange market, and international business and economic cooperation. Other materials include newspaper clippings, greeting cards, and printed matter.

The Lawrence A. Cremin Papers document the career and personal life of Lawrence Arthur Cremin, educational historian and seventh president of Teachers College, Columbia University (1974-1984). Cremin was an acclaimed historian of American education whose work framed the formal school as one of many institutions responsible for educating children. The collection includes records of his teaching and administrative work at Teachers College, manuscripts and published works by Cremin, and personal and professional correspondence.

The Isadore Gilbert Mudge Collection includes correspondence, writing, and publications related to Isadore Gilbert Mudge (1875 –1957) and her career as a reference librarian at Columbia from 1911 to 1941.

The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) offered fellowships for post-graduate study to leaders from marginalized communities in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Russia from 2001-2013. Paper, digital, and audiovisual materials document the planning and administration of the program, as well as the selection, placement, and monitoring of over 4,300 Fellows that participated in the program. The records document a unique educational model that linked access to higher education, international development, and social change.

Established in 1965 by Columbia University, the Double Discovery Center (DDC) provides educational programs and services to low income and first generation college-bound junior high and high school students in New York City. The DDC is one of the oldest Upward Bound programs in the United States. The collection contains the records of the DDC from 1965 to 2005, including student files and materials documenting the DDC's primary programs, Upward Bound and Talent Search.

This collection of various historical materials collected by the Columbia University Physics Department includes photographs and negatives of faculty members, faculty biographical information, images of related buildings and grounds, correspondence between faculty members and others, publications, information concerning guest lecturers in the department, as well as materials used in exhibitions and presentations depicting the department's history.
