This collections contains the professional research, writing, publications, and correspondence produced and collected by Rattner through her study of the architect James Renwick, Jr. The bulk of Rattner's research addresses the life and works of Renwick, but other research topics represented in her papers range from the Renwick family genealogy to the institutional architecture of New York City. Types of research material include personal research notes (in notecard format, both typed and holograph), correspondence (1963-2001), newspaper and magazine clippings, Xerox copies of archival material and secondary sources, transcribed articles and correspondence, brochures from historic sites, photographs and slides of buildings and sites, sketches, historic structure inventory forms, landmark nomination forms, landmark designation reports, and postcards.

This collection contains materials related to Chermayeff's personal, professional, and academic lives, the bulk originating during his residency in the United States, beginning in the late 1930s. Project records document the full range of his work, including many records from his British period. The collection also contains extensive correspondence with personal friends, clients, and professional and academic colleagues.

Papers of the Society, including correspondence among the officers and directors of the Society, memoranda, reports, legal papers, minutes, financial records, radio scripts, clippings, scrapbooks, comic books, and a subject file of pamphlets and clippings on all aspects of crime prevention. Correspondence, photographs, minutes, financial records, subject files, printed material and membership files of Soi︠u︡z Russkikh Shofferov (the Union of Russian Chauffeurs) founded in Paris in 1926 and incorporated in 1945 into the French drivers union, Cochers et Chauffeurs de Voitures de Place as a Russian local. The organization functioned both as a fraternal society and a labor union; it operated a credit union, a summer resort, a dining hall and a library, and also interceded on behalf of its members (ca. 1,000 in 1945) before French governmental authorities. The bulk of the collection is comprised of membership records, minutes of meetings, financial records and subject files. There is also correspondence between members and the union office, and photographs taken at the summer resort in 1934 and 1936.

The original compositions of Solomon Pimsleur, consisting of over 100 sonatas, suites, etudes, and songs for piano, orchestra and voice. Also included are Pimsleur's arrangements of various musical works, and photodisks and tapes of Pimsleur performing his own works; there are also a few periodical and monograph publications which the composer used as bases for some of his work
