Correspondence includes both personal letters and items concerning the Cossacks in the emigration. Many of the documents relate to Budanov's legal practice in the Don region, ca. 1910-17. Subject files deal with the Don Cossacks in the Civil War, Cossack emigre groups, and the elections to the post of Ataman of the Don Cossacks in the emigration in the 1930s. Printed materials include maps, a copy of volume 1 of Budanov's "Don i Moskva" and miscellaneous emigre publications and clippings.
