The diary chronicles his evacuation from Russia with Wrangel's army and his life in Constantinople and Prague where he entered medical school. The diaries chiefly describe Simonovich's personal reactions to emigre life. In addition, there is a volume of poems and a volume of short stories, both by Simonovich.
