The correspondence and editorial files contain a wealth of detailed information about individual authors and the growth and development of the Press. Letters to Cyril Clemens containing comments on his work and writings as well as that of other American writers. There are also four letters of Gladys Brooks (Mrs Van Wyck), Brooks' passport dated 1951, and one page of a holograph manuscript essay on Theodore Dreiser.

Photostatic copies of Lippmann's syndicated column, Today and Tomorrow, 1931-1949, and two books written by Lippmann: THE COLD WAR, New York, Harper & Bros., 1947; and A PREFACE TO MORALS, New York, Macmillan, 1929. Also, eleven scrapbooks of clippings, 1931-1933, 1936, 1938-1944, and 1947-1950.

The papers deal with editorial, financial, and legal aspects of publishing, magazine, theatrical and film rights, and all other personal and professional activities of their American and English clients. Among these clients have been Michael Arlen, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Theodore Dreiser, Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis, Carson McCullers, Ezra Pound, Ayn Rand, Dorothy Sayers, Gertrude Stein, and Dylan Thomas.

Letters of White to his friend D.A. "Gus" Ellsworth. The letters are chiefly personal in tone although there are scattered references to White's books and articles.
