The Latin inscriptions, which predominate in the collection, are sepulchral. Items worthy of p;ublication have been published in CORPUS INSCRIPTIONUM LATINARUM, volumes VI and XV, and in the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF ARCHAELOGY, 1899 and 1906. There are 11 inscibed pipes (lead) and 15 stamped bricks among the Latin inscriptions. There are only 3 Greek inscriptions (again, sepulchral) in the collection. Squeezes of published Greek inscriptions, ca. 500, are also available for study in conjunction with the published inscriptions

The collection consists of approximately 100 items. This includes twenty five authentic 18th century imprints from the Lavra's famous printing house (1734-1794); rare Old Believer imprints; 19th century reprints of 18th century Pochaev imprints; 11 late 19th/early 20th century Pochaev imprints; and two 17th century Muscovite imprints, a Mineia sluzhebnaia (1629), and a Psaltyr' (1646). Also included are 19th and early 20th century minor graphics, lacking serial issues (including issues of USSR in Construction designed by El Lissitsky), color lithographs, original drawings, and stereopticon slides.

Artifacts collected by Dr Dodge while traveling with Columbia professor Henry Drisler during 1859 and 1860. The majority of the items are souvenirs from Roman and Pompeiian ruins, such as a fragment from the ruins of Vespasian's Temple in Rome, and a piece of a wine jar found in Pompeii. Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, and some miscellaneous printed materials. The bulk of the correspondence files, bound in sixteen volumes, deals with "..weights and measures, the textile tariff, and other subjects" for the period 1902-1929. There are three volumes of typescript copies (carbons) prepared from Dale's holograph diaries, 1887-1929, with an index in volume one. Among the manuscripts are the following: an account book kept by Samuel Dale of Carncastle, Ireland and Little Falls, N.Y., 1810-1834; and two volumes of Thomas Dale's accounts, Little Falls, N.Y., 183?-1856. These were written by Dale's grandfather and father respectively. There is also the minutes book of the American Metrological Society, 1873-1886 and an English tally stick dated 1377.

The University Artifacts Collection contains objects, textiles, buttons, trophies, ribbons, plaques, plates, and other three-dimensional items used as well as created by or for the University since its founding in 1754 as King's College. Some items were created for specific individuals or classes.
