The collection includes specification documents for approximately 170 architectural projects by Frank Lloyd Wright. Highlights include specifications for American System-Built houses (#1506), Imperial Hotel (#1509), San Marcos-in-the-Desert resort hotel (#2704), Fallingwater (#3502), Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (#4305), H.C. Price Company tower (#5215), Lenkurt Electric Company (#5520), and Marin County Civic Center (#5746). Specification documents range from descriptions and instructions regarding the quality of work and materials to guidelines for plumbing, electricity, wood, metal,and painting work. Also included in the collection can be correspondence, contracts, structural calculations, licenses and subcontracts for design objects and furnishing.

This collection contains 435 blueprint and diazo working drawings, created between 1946 and 1961, for projects designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The buildings represented include the 860-880 Lake Shore Drive Apartments, the 2400 Lakeview Avenue Apartments, the Commonwealth Promenade Apartments, and various buildings on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology, all in Chicago; as well as the Bacardi Company building in Mexico City and the Pavilion Apartments for the Lafayette Park Redevelopment in Detroit. Also included in the collection are full-size working drawings for the Brno Chair, a couch, a dining room chair, the MR chair, and the Tugendhat chair.

This collection contains 435 blueprint and diazo working drawings, created between 1946 and 1961, for projects designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The buildings represented include the 860-880 Lake Shore Drive Apartments, the 2400 Lakeview Avenue Apartments, the Commonwealth Promenade Apartments, and various buildings on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology, all in Chicago; as well as the Bacardi Company building in Mexico City and the Pavilion Apartments for the Lafayette Park Redevelopment in Detroit. Also included in the collection are full-size working drawings for the Brno Chair, a couch, a dining room chair, the MR chair, and the Tugendhat chair.

This collection contains architectural records, student work, correspondence and professional writings related to the academic and architectural practice of Walter Sobotka. The largest portion of the collection, Series 1, relates to his architectural practice and contains drawings, files, and a scrapbook of photographs and articles pertaining to his work in Europe and America. The majority of his projects consisted of residential buildings and interiors in Austria along with furniture designs. However, there is also a selection of theater interiors that Sobotka designed for RKO across the United States. Series 2 contains a limited selection of Sobotka's lectures and writings, as well as correspondence. This series also contains material relating to two of his unpublished writings, The Prefabricated House and Principles of Design, including copies of the manuscripts, correspondence with publishers, and research materials. A bound version of Principles of Design is catalogued separately and contains an appendix in which Sobotka translated into English excerpts of his correspondence with the Viennese architect Josef Frank. Series 3 contains some artwork and student drawings, as well as a few personal letters.
