This collection contains materials compiled by the Missionary Research Library that document mission work in Latin America during the 20th century, including materials on Christianity, evangelism, education, Indians, organizations, conferences, geographic locations, imperialism and labor conditions.

This collection contains minutes, proceedings, speeches, administrative and financial records, promotional materials, correspondence, and other records pertaining to the National Workshop on Christian Unity, an annual event that encourages ecumenical discussion and networking.

Established in 1967, the North American Academy of Ecumenists (NAAE) is composed of college, university and theological seminary professors engaged in studies related to Christian unity. The collection includes records relating to the founding of the organization, correspondence, administrative records and information on annual conferences.

James Stanley Durkee was a Baptist and Congregationalist minister who served in Maine, Massachusetts, and New York. He was the last white president of Howard University (1918-1926) and presided over Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims in Brooklyn, New York, from 1927-1941. The collection contains handwritten and typed sermons, sermon outlines, notes, extracts, and newspaper clippings, arranged in chronological order.

John Crosby Brown was a banker and a member of the Board of Directors of Union Theological Seminary in New York City. The collection contains correspondence, a program from the J. C. Brown memorial service, and a palm leaf Pali manuscript.

The Near East College Association formed in 1927 to combine financial and administrative work in a joint office for efficiency in management and to help raise endowment funds for institutions from Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Bulgaria, and Iraq. The collection contains administrative records, correspondence, publications, and records related to partner institutions.

The Council for the Clinical Training of Theological Students (CCTTS) was founded in 1925 by Anton T. Boisen. In later years, Dr. Helen Flanders Dunbar became the organization's Medical Director and Henry Pitney Van Dusen became a member of the CCTTS board of governors. The records reflect the development of the concept for CCTTS from Anton Boisen's initial proposal through the project's early activities in lively "Hospital Pictorials" to more formal administrative documents of the incorporated organization and the spread of the program to other hospitals and areas. The collection also contains some typescript writings by Anton Boisen and CCTTS board correspondence from Henry Pitney Van Dusen.

The International Missionary Union was an organization of international evangelical missions dedicated to diffusion of missionary intelligence, discussion of missionary topics, and increase of mutual acquaintance among missionaries of different churches and countries. The collection contains photographs, articles, member rolls, pamphlets, minutes and administrative records, correspondence, and one Syriac language journal.

Henry Preserved Smith (1847-1927) was a Presbyterian minister in Ohio and New York and a scholar with specializations in Hebrew and Cognate Languages, historical and critical interpretations of the Bible who was tried for heresy by the Presbyterian Church, 1892-1894, and was subsequently Professor of Church history and Davenport Professor of Hebrew and Cognate Languages at Union Theological Seminary, 1917-1925. The collection contains scrapbooks as they were assembled by Smith to document his heresy trial, as well as the contemporaneous trial of Charles Augustus Briggs, and three scrapbooks on Hebrew literature, as well as other writings and notes including nine of Smith's notebooks, correspondence, speeches, trial materials, lecture notes, and other materials maintained by Smith during his work as a professor and librarian.

This collection contains materials compiled by the Missionary Research Library that document foreign mission work in the Near/Middle East during the early 20th century, including reports, pamphlets, minutes, clippings and publications, and educational records pertaining to the Near East School of Theology (transcribed by the Syria-Palestine Translation Service) and Robert College in Constantinople.
