Charles Augustus Stoddard was a Presbyterian clergyman, editor, and writer. The collection contains newspaper clippings and religious service bulletins, sermons and prayers, professional correspondence, genealogical materials including family trees and photographs, personal correspondence, a journal and a diary.

Clark P. Hard was a Methodist Episcopal missionary in South India beginning in 1874. The collection contains correspondence, diaries, photographs, scrapbooks, and personal items relating to Hards life and missionary work.

Erwin Hart Richards was a Congregational missionary for thirty-three years in South East Africa. The collection consists of correspondence from the period when Richards was treasurer of the Board of Foreign Missions for the Methodist Episcopal Church.

E. H. (Ezra Hall) Gillett (1823-1875) was a UTS alum, Presbyterian minister in Harlem, N.Y., and a Professor of political science at New York University. The collection consists of sermons by Gillett and his father, other writings including diaries, and teaching and class notes.

This collection contains correspondence, reports, and teaching materials of Frank C. Laubach, a Christian missionary and educator who played a prominent role in world literacy by establishing the "Each One Teach One" literacy teaching method and founding the Committee on World Literacy and Christian Literature (FMCNA and NCC), World Literacy, Inc., and Laubach Literacy, Inc.

Franklin Grasson Davis was a Methodist minister from Clay, Ohio who served as a missionary in India from 1875-1884. The collection contains a diary from his time in the field.

Henry Preserved Smith (1847-1927) was a Presbyterian minister in Ohio and New York and a scholar with specializations in Hebrew and Cognate Languages, historical and critical interpretations of the Bible who was tried for heresy by the Presbyterian Church, 1892-1894, and was subsequently Professor of Church history and Davenport Professor of Hebrew and Cognate Languages at Union Theological Seminary, 1917-1925. The collection contains scrapbooks as they were assembled by Smith to document his heresy trial, as well as the contemporaneous trial of Charles Augustus Briggs, and three scrapbooks on Hebrew literature, as well as other writings and notes including nine of Smith's notebooks, correspondence, speeches, trial materials, lecture notes, and other materials maintained by Smith during his work as a professor and librarian.

Hervey De Witt Griswold was a Presbyterian missionary in Lahore, Punjab, India (now Pakistan) from 1890-1926. The collection includes Griswold's diaries, sermons, published essays, council notes, prayer books, and Bible studies.

James Morris Whiton (1833-1920) was a Congregational minister, teacher, and author, recognized as a writer on theological and ethical themes, and a preacher of the social gospel. The collection contains writings, correspondence, journals, material on the New York State Conference of Religion, photographs, and scrapbooks.

James Whitford Bashford was a resident Methodist bishop in Shanghai and Peking, China, and former president of Ohio Wesleyan University. The collection contains diaries which include notes on religion, lands, people, and history of China; and index to the diaries; as well as photographs and collection notes.
