Ginsberg's papers are mostly the manuscripts and clippings of his poetry and prose writings, class notes for his courses at Rutgers, clippings of interviews and other publicity materials for his joint poetry readings with Allen Ginsberg, and many books from his library. Also included are ten letters from Ginsberg to Louis Untermeyer regarding Ginsberg's poetry; and four letters from Gisnberg to Stanley Wertheim.

A collection concerned with the various phases of black life in America, containing clippings, pamphlets, photographs, pictures, extracts from periodicals, and a representative group of approximately 350 letters, signatures, manuscripts, and documents. Among the letters are several each from Countee Cullen, Frederick Douglass, Alexander Dumas, fils, William Lloyd Garrison, Claude McKay, Abraham Lincoln, Henry Mencken, William Pickens, Albert A. Smith, and Booker T. Washington. Also, eighteen slavery documents.

The Malcolm X Project (MXP) records represent nearly 25 years of research, constituting the most in-depth scholarly examination of the life and legacy of Malcolm X to date. The collection consists of the research that Dr. Manning Marable used to write his Pulitzer-Prize winning biography, Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention.

Musical scores, correspondence, sheet music, audio tapes of interviews with jazz musicians, and other materials from Tucker, jazz pianist and scholar.

Papers covering Mayer's literary activities from approximately 1954-1983 and his versatile interests in music and recordings, the financial world, the advertising business, the legal profession, and public education. The collection includes his notes, interviews, drafts, manuscripts, typescripts, proofs, reviews, correspondence, and clippings for THE SCHOOLS; THE LAWYERS; MADISON AVENUE, U.S.A.; EMORY BUCKNER; DIPLOMA; WHERE, WHEN, AND WHY: SOCIAL STUDIES IN AMERICAN SCHOOLS; as well as several hundred essays published in ESQUIRE, HORIZON, the SATURDAY EVENING POST, and other magazines. Also, material dealing with Mayer's books on banking, television, music, and housing, and with his continuing interest in education and the New York City school system; and diplomacy and his Sloan Foundation study on cities and universities.

Papers and VHS and other video and audio materials stemming from Greene's long career as an educational philosopher.
