Archives of Schaffner's literary agency, including correspondence and financial records, 1948-1975. The material is divided into four sections, cataloged material; general correspondence; specific files with authors who were clients of the agency; and correspondence with other literary agents and editors, appointment books, and financial papers.

Papers and memorabilia of Schillinger, including a group of rare Russian concert posters, programs, music compositions, published writings about Schillinger, and a notebook containing the outlines of courses and lectures given in Russia and in New York.

Correspondence, manuscripts, and clippings of Kunitz, including correspondence from many periodical editors and from Kunitz's American and Russian friends, as well as his manuscripts and notes for SOVIET JEWERY : IS IT DOOMED? and his introduction to Albert Rhys Williams' THROUGH THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION. Also, printed articles and reviews by and about Kunitz. Among the correspondents are Mary E. Dreier, James T. Farrell, Joseph Freeman, and Serghey Tretiakov.

Gooding's papers, research and articles from his positions of 1967-1969 at Time Inc., free lance work in the 1970's for various magazines, research for his book 'The Job Revolution' and as editor of Next magazine in the 1980's. Collection also contains personal papers and juvenilia.

Correspondence and some printed ephemera and reviews pertaining to Kenneth Lohf's work on the INDEX TO LITTLE MAGAZINES, INDEX TO THE LITTLE REVIEW, and bibliographies of Yvor Winters, Sherwood Anderson, Frank Norris, Joseph Conrad, and Marianne Moore, which he compiled with Eugene P. Sheey. Included are 35 letters from Robert Greenwood, publisher and poet. There are also books inscribed to Lohf and books and articles by him. In addition, there are more than 300 autograph letters and manuscripts chiefly of ninteenth century English writers, artists, academics, statesmen and other historical figures collected by Lohf

Letters to his long-time friend, Ben Belitt, a creative poet and translator and critic of Spanish poets, particularly Garcia Lorca and Pablo Neruda. 7 of the letters are from 1936-37, 4 from 1952-1964, and 5 from 1970-78. They are of a personal nature, primarily concerning the authors' writings of the time. The latest group also has carbons of Belitt's replies.

Papers of Leah Goldstein Javne Salisbury, consisting of correspondence, contracts, scripts, and financial records. Among the correspondents are Christopher Fry, William Gibson, Eugène Ionesco, Dorothy Parker, S.J. Perelman, and Stark Young.
