Bruno Lasker papers, 1923-1951

The collection consists of his working notebooks in 31 volumes, manuscripts and printed versions of speeches, articles, and reports, many relating to the Institute of Pacific Relations and the Far East. Also, a group of materials, 1957-1965, relating to Lasker's study of Prophetics, the conditions (psychological and physical), methods, history, and case studies of prediction. It comprises some 5,000 pages (in 33 binders) of abstracts and comments; an index to abstracts by names, topics, and sub-topics; notes for a substantial bibliography; printed and manuscript materials, and the typed draft of an unpublished book"Dates With Destiny" 1964.

Jay family papers, 1828-1943

Papers of the Jay family and of those families related to the Jay family, including Bruen, Butterworth, Chapman, Clarkson, Dawson, Du Bois, Field, Iselin, McVickar, Mortimer, O'Kill, Pellew, Pierrepont, Prime, Robinson, Schieffelin, Von Schweinitz, Sedgwick, and Wurts. In addition to family and personal matters, the correspondence deals with anti-slavery, New York State civil service, repeal of the Missouri Compromise, the Civil War, the Blair Bill, international affairs, and New York City and State politics and government. There are letters from numerous prominent persons including George Bancroft, F.A.P. Barnard, Bismarck, William Cullen Bryant, Aaron Burr, James Fenimore Cooper, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Hamilton Fish, Albert Gallatin, Horace Greeley, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Washington Irving, Frances Anne Kemble, Jenny Lind, Henry W. Shirley Hazzard papers, 1920s-2016

Shirley Hazzard (1931-2016) was a novelist, short-story writer, and essayist. She also wrote two non-fiction books about the United Nations. Hazzard was born in Australia, but left the country in 1951, living in New York City and Capri, Italy. The papers include address books, appointment books, audiovisual materials, books, clippings, correspondence, diaries, manuscripts, notebooks, notes, photographs, printed materials, and research files.
