The manuscripts were prepared by American and emigre scholars on a variety of topics concerning the history of the CPSU, including the "Antonovshchina" the Latvian Communist Party and Soviet literature. A number of memoirs were also written for the project. Among the authors of the Program's manuscripts were Vera Aleksandrova (V. A. Shvarts), Vera Dunham, Nikolai Vol'skii (Valentinov), and Avrahm Yarmolinsky.

Correspondence, manuscripts, and notes. This collection contains the manuscripts for most of his books and articles. There are also copies of his many book reviews and articles by other authors analyzing the impact of his interpretations of American history. The correspondents include: H.S. Commager, C. Vann Woodward, Stuart Bruchey, S.E. Morison, Clarence Ver Steeg, Alfred A. Knopf, Helen Frankenthaler, Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., and others. There are also 70 books from his library

Correspondence, memoranda, photographs, manuscripts, lists, legal and financial documents, and printed materials of Simon. The personal and business papers include correspondence with authors, inscribed photographs of authors, editorial files, files for his special art, photography, and music projects, correspondence files relating to Simon and Schuster, Inc., personal and family correspondence, documents, and photographs. Correspondents include Irving Berlin, Margaret Bourke-White, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Joseph E. Davies, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Philippe Halsman, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Kenneth Roberts, Arthur Schnitzler, Jerome Weidman, and Sloan Wilson.

Personal and professional papers including correspondence, manuscripts, documents, diaries, journals, photographs, and printed materials relating to his teaching at various universities, his literary studies and writings, and his professional activities in such organizations as the Moder Language Association and P.E.N. His correspondents include contemporary authors such as Edmund Blunden, Christopher Hassall, Louis Kronenberger; scholars such as James P. Clifford, Leon Edel, and A.L. Rowse. There are also some letters collected by Halsband, including those by Mrs Piozzi, John Wilkes (1727-1797) and John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute (1713-1792). Among the manuscripts are notes, drafts, typescripts, and proofs of his LIFE OF LADY WORTLEY MONTAGU (Oxford, 1956) and COMPLETE LETTERS OF LADY MARY WORTLEY MONTAGU (Oxford, 1965-1967). Also, manuscripts and typescripts of Halsband's diaries, journals, lectures, articles, book reviews, and essays. Correspondence, manuscripts, notes, documents, subject files, financial records, course materials, photographs, and printed materials. Woodworth's professional correspondence is with colleagues, scholars, students, the Columbia University Psychology Department, professional organizations, the Archives of Psychology, the National Academy of Sciences, the Psychological Corporation, and publishers. His own set of psychology subject headings include both general and specific topics such as behavior, color, experimental psychology, learning, memory, perception, personality, sensation, etc. These files contain manuscripts, notes, psychological tests, test data, revisions, for his monographs and other research materials. In addition to the subject files, there is some general, personal and family correspondence; manuscripts of his articles, lectures, addresses, curricular materials, biographical files and photographs. The printed materials consist of his personal collection of reprints of psychological literature arranged according to his own subject headings; reprints by colleagues, some inscribed and signed with his annotations; and books from his library, some of which contain his markings and comments

Correspondence, manuscripts, diaries, notebooks, subject files, books and other printed materials of Berezov. The correspondence includes letters from Aleksis Rannit, Alexandra Tolstoy, and the editors of "Novoe russkoe slovo," Mark Weinbaum and Andrei Sedykh (pseudonym of Iakov Tsvibak). There are three different typescript versions and handwritten drafts of Berezov's novel "Volzhskii solovei" as well as manuscripts of his short stories and poems. There are also many notebooks containing drafts of poems and miscellaneous notes. Berezov's diaries cover the years 1944 to 1975. Printed materials include books and clippings about Berezov, also books by other authors from his library. A subject file on Alexandra Tolstoy contains numerous articles concerning her father as well as her work in this country; there are also poems by Berezov which are dedicated to her.
