A collection of three albums containing poetry and drawings, many by the Russian poet Mikhail I. Lermantov. Album 1, 1808-1822, belonged to Elizaveta Arkadievna Annenkova-Vereshchagina. It contains poems by Russian and French poets. Some of the verses by Russian poets are copies; others are autographs. Many poems have penciled annotations identifying the poets who wrote them. These notes were added at a later date and their accuracy can not be trusted. In addition to verses, this album contains numerous drawings, none of which have been attributed to or identified as works of Lermontov. Other poets whose works are identified include N. Vakhrameev, Ivan Dmitriev, Dawidoff, A. Guselnikov, Zhukosky, Popov, Vasily Kapnist, Princess Nadzhda Golitsnya, and S. Martinoff.

Typescript memoirs that discuss such topics as her childhood on her parents' estate; World War I; 1917 in Petrograd; 1918 in the Ukraine; the Civil War and the emigration in Constantinople, Germany, and Poland; and World War II in Poland.

Correspondence, manuscripts, and clippings of Kunitz, including correspondence from many periodical editors and from Kunitz's American and Russian friends, as well as his manuscripts and notes for SOVIET JEWERY : IS IT DOOMED? and his introduction to Albert Rhys Williams' THROUGH THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION. Also, printed articles and reviews by and about Kunitz. Among the correspondents are Mary E. Dreier, James T. Farrell, Joseph Freeman, and Serghey Tretiakov.

The memoir includes reminiscences about Balakirev, Repin, Mai︠a︡kovskiĭ, Shali︠a︡pin, Meyerhold, Akhmatova, Gumilev, Georgiĭ Ivanov, and other habituʹes of the Brodi︠a︡chai︠a︡ Sobaka.

The manuscripts appear to have been prepared as lectures for "Days of Russian Culture" organized by the emigration in France; they concern Russian cultural history.
