The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, a photograph, and printed material, primarily from the period 1941-1957. Included are letters from Ivan Bunin, Marc Chagall, Mikhail Karpovich, Vasiliĭ Maklakov, W. Somerset Maugham, Vladimir Nabokov, Ili︠́a︡ Repin, Edmund Wilson, Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev and many others. Manuscripts of his works include "Istoki""Nachalo kont︠s︡a""Zhivi, kak khochesh"́, and "The Escape" (English translation of "Begstvo"), such shorter tales as "Noch ́v terminale""Povest ́o smerti", and "Ulḿskai︠a︡ noch"́, as well as numerous articles, book reviews and essays. There are financial records for "Novyĭ Zhurnal", which Aldanov helped found, and the clippings are mainly articles about Aldanov. There is one late photograph of Aldanov.

Letters received by A. V. Bakhrakh which discuss 20th century Russian literature, contemporary Slavic studies, and Russian emigre publishing activities. Correspondents include Andrei Belyi (Boris Bugaev), Ivan Bunin, Kornei Chukovskii, Andre Gide and Boris Pilniak. There are over 300 letters by Gleb Struve wtitten from 1964 to 1983, which cover the above topics as well as Struve's personal and professional life. There are both letters and manuscripts by Vladislav Khodasevich, Aleksei Remizov and Marina Tsvetaeva.

These papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, subject files, photographs, and printed materials. Most of the collection concerns Bashmakov's ethnographical work in France in the 1920s and 1930s, including correspondence, many manuscripts, lectures, notes, and copies of his publications. Subject files concern emigre monarchism in France, and the death of Father Georgiĭ Spasskiĭ. There are copies of the Russian version of Bashmakova's memoirs, "Perezhitoe." Cataloged correspondence in the collection consists of letters from Petr Krasnov and one or two items each from Henry Field, Evgeniĭ Miller, Petr Wrangel, and Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev. There are also photographic slides representing ethnographical types from the Caucasus.

Papers of Dmitrii Nikolaevich Liubimov, consisting of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and printed materials. Correspondents include Vasilii Maklakov and Boris Zaitsev, and there is a document signed by Boris Savinkov. Manuscripts include Liubimov's memoirs of his years in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, "Russkaia smuta nachala deviatisotykh godov (1902-1906)", and others by him on many topics, often based on his personal experiences. Liubimov scrapbooks from the emigration include notes and clippings on various topics. There are materials relating to the activities of his wife, Liudmila Ivanovna, as representative of the Russian Red Cross in Poland in 1919-1922, including correspondence and a photograph album.

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, subject files, questionnaires, photographs, and printed materials. Cataloged correspondents are Ilín, Anton Denikin, Ivan Shmelev, Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev, and Kirill Zaĭt︠s︡ev. Correspondence primarily concerns the Russian embassy in Stockholm through 1920 and the Russian Christian Labor Movement (1931-1940). Manuscripts are mostly by Ivan Ilín on anti-Communist topics. Subject files generally concern conferences of the Russian Christian Labor Movement, and also contain information on the Conference Economique des Allies a Paris (1916), the Russian embassy in Stockholm, and Witte's visit to Norway in 1894. Questionnaires, photographs and printed materials mostly deal with the Russian Christian Labor movement. Printed materials contain issues 7-91 of the periodical "Novy put"́ of the Bureau of Russian Christian Workers. The great majority of this collection concerns the Russian Christian Labor Movement.

The collection consists mainly of correspondence, financial records, and subject files. Also included are protocols of meetings and reports, photographs, membership and subscription lists, and printed materials. The cataloged materials include manuscripts sent by such authors as Alekseĭ Remizov and Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev for "Den ́Russkogo Rebenka" (Day of the Russian Child) in the 1930s, as well as correspondence from Nikolaĭ Vakar, Claire Boothe Luce, Aleksandra Tolstai︠a︡, and others. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence with and about beneficiaries, and financial records from the period 1926-57.

The collection consists of correspondence from such ballet and theater personalities as Sergeĭ Khudi︠a︡kov, Sergeĭ Lifar,́ Nadezhda Nikolaeva-Legat, Alekander Sanin and Vera Trefilova. There is also one letter each from Zinaida Gippi︠u︡s, Nadezhda Teffi, Boris Zaĭt︠s︡ev and Vladimir Zeeler. In addition, there are several typed manuscripts by Pleshcheev, including his book-length biography of E.N. Roschina-Insarova, and clippings of newspaper articles by Pleshcheev.

The collection contains RNK correspondence, documents, photographs, subject files, organizational records and printed materials. There are letters from Boris Bakhmeteff, Pavel and Petr Dolgorukov, Zinaida Gippius, Aleksandr Kutepov, Dmitrii Merezhovskii, Bernard Pares, Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams, George Vernadsky, and Petr Vrangel. There is a short essay by Aleksandra Tolstaia about her father. The manuscripts relate to political, historical and sociological issues. Most of the subject files relate to emigre organizations other than the RNK, while those of the RNK are classified into files of financial records, bulletins, minutes and lists of names and addresses. Among the printed materials are brochures and pamphlets, clippings, newspapers, and books.

The papers of Il'ia Grigor'evich Savchenko (1889-1961). The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, caricatures, and materials relating to a number of Russian émigré organizations. The materials relating to émigré organizations include correspondence, financial records, and mimeographed textbooks prepared by the professors of the Russkii iuridicheskii fakul'tet v Prage (Russian Juridical Institute in Prague), and correspondence and printed materials of the Soiuz ob"edinenii russkikh okonchivshikh vysshie uchebnye asvedeniia (OROVUZ; Union of Societies of Russians Who Have Graduated from Institutes of Higher Education), which Savchenko headed. In addition, there are materials relating to other émigré groups in Europe and the United States with which Savchenko was associated.

The manuscripts are autobiographical and fictional in character.
