The correspondence, manuscripts, notes, speeches, documents, and related printed materials of Hellman, reflecting her specialty as an historian of 16th and 17th century astronomers and astronomy as well as ancient, medieval, and Renaissance science. Included in her professional correspondence are numerous letters from George Sarton and Lynn Thorndike. College records, class materials and class notes document the development of her academic career beginning with her undergraduate career at Vassar. Numerous lecture notes, class notes and working papers reflect her teaching, research and lectures at New York University, Cornell, the Columbia University Renaissance Seminar, and her active participation in professional organizations such as the History of Science Society. Of particular interest are eight boxes of notes and related printed materials concerning astronomy, astronomers, and the history of science.

The George A. Plimpton Papers consist largely of personal and professional correspondence, financial and real estate records, personal diaries and albums, writings, and lectures produced by or for George Arthur Plimpton. But the Papers also contains not only the correspondence and records of Plimpton's colleagues at Ginn and Company, the publishing house that Plimpton led for decades, but also correspondence and records relating to the dozens of other institutions and organizations that Plimpton helped lead. In addition to extensive correspondence relating to Plimpton's collecting of rare books, manuscripts, and historical artifacts, the Papers also contain such diverse items as autographs of presidents, handwriting specimens, studies of medieval manuscripts, and documents relating to the American slave trade.

Correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, memorabilia, and printed materials. Correspondence is both professional and personal, relating primarily to Fuld's duties in the New York District Attorney's Office, as a judge in the state and federal courts, and to his civic work for the Jewish Theological Seminary, the City College of New York, New York University, and the Columbia University Law School. Major correspondents include: Thomas E. Dewey, Louis Finkelstein, Herbert Lehman, and Nelson A. Rockefeller. The rest of the collection consists of Fuld's briefs, opinions, memoranda, forms of indictments, appeals cases, reports for the New York State Court of Appeals from his appointment in 1946 through 1973, and manuscripts of his speeches and lectures. The memoranda series deals chiefly with investigations into organized crime. In addition there are biographical materials, memorabilia, and photographs.

Todd Gitlin (1943-2022) was an activist, author, poet, and scholar of mass media at Columbia University. A leader of the anti-war group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) in the 1960s and a self-identified progressive for his whole life, he became a noted critic of the American left from the 1990s on for a perceived overemphasis on identity and cultural issues.

Tony Kushner (b. 1956) is an American author, playwright, and screenwriter. He received a Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play Angels in America: Millennium Approaches in 1993. The papers include address books, awards, certificates, correspondence, drafts and revisions, notebooks and notes, outlines, photographs, posters, press clippings, programs, production materials, promotional materials, proofs, props, research materials, scores, screenplays, scripts, speeches, and translations.
