Also included is material regarding the Center for Mass Communications of Columbia University, in which Barnouw figured prominently and files for the books he has written.

Correspondence with friends and colleagues; manuscripts, proofs, and notes for his novel, All the Little Heroes (Bobbs-Merrill, 1966); manuscripts of short stories, essays and his collaborative works; documents relating to his publishing, his teaching, and the student uprising at San Francisco State College in 1968.
