The memoir concerns cultural evenings organized by the Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich in the Izmaĭlovskii Guard Regiment and the 1914 production of the Grand Duke's play "Tsar' Iudeiskii" at the Court Theater in the Hermitage, for which Glazunov composed incidental music.
