This collection contains the papers of Jan S. F. van Hoogstraten, the former Chief of Mission for the Intergovernmental Committee for Migration, Bonn. The collection contains personal and professional correspondence, photographs, publications and reports, travel materials, and other materials largely documenting Hoogstraten's work with and on behalf of refugees, especially in Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia, and with organizations including the National Council of Churches, the World Council of Churches, and the Church World Service.
