This collection included primarily original and reprographic architectural drawings by Roth, circa 1907-circa 1949, largely of apartment buildings located in Manhattan and designed during the 1920s and 1930s. Represented are the San Remo Towers, The Beresford, The Oliver Cromwell, the Normandy, and numerous other apartment buildings. There are also drawings for several hotel and private residences. A two-volume typescript autobiography is also included.

This collection primarily contains architectural drawings, correspondence, business records, and a small number of photographs related to the projects of Emery Roth & Sons and its subsidiary entities. A large portion of the entities are represented only in the Office Records series and are identified as such. Some projects on which Emery Roth & Sons acted as architect of record are not represented in this collection, most notably the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.

The collection is made up of architectural drawings for various projects undertaken by firms/architects such as Skidmore, Owings& Merrill, Warren Gran & Associates, John Carl Warnecke & Associates, Eggers Group, INC, Carson, Lundin & Shaw, and Alfred Easton Poor during the 1960s to the 1980s. Projects represented in this collection include, among others, 1st City National Bank of Houston, Union Carbide & Carbon Corporation, Pepsi Cola HQ Auditorium, Olympia Centre in Chicago, US Steel Building, John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co., International Arrival Wing at JFK Airport, Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, CA and Newport Beach, CA, Foreign Trade Bank of Iran Banking Headquarters, Hilton Casino in Atlantic City, 445 Fifth Avenue, John Hancock Tower in Boston, and the Library of Congress James Madison Memorial Building. The majority of the drawings are blue line prints, however, there are some color renderings.

This collection primarily contains materials related to Percy and Harold Uris and their real estate businesses. Correspondence, financial records, and estate papers document the professional and personal lives of the brothers and their wives. The bulk of the business records are from their properties at 380 Madison Avenue and 300 Park Avenue. There is limited information about the other Uris properties and Uris Building Corporation. Finally, the collection contains records from the Uris Brothers Foundation, Inc about the family's philanthropic endeavors.

The collection includes Drix Duryea and Mattie E. Hewitt photographs of the Kathrin Samstag Hochschild and Walter Hochschild residence designed by Pleasance Pennington (architect) on the 16-18th floors of Emory Roth's 1200 Fifth Avenue apartment building. Built by Joseph Ravitch (developer), the triplex penthouse included a particularly notable outdoor playhouse/gazebo and dance floor.
