The collection consists of manuscripts, documents, printed materials, and a photograph of Sadovskiĭ with his son and grandson. The manuscripts are memoiristic in nature and concern such topics as Sadovskiĭ's work in and near Vitebsk as part of Stolypin's land reform commission, the creation of a botanical garden in Vitebsk, Sadovskiĭ's imprisonment by the Cheka in 1919-1920, his emigration to Brazil and various antisemitic topics. The documents include Cheka affidavits regarding Sadovskiĭ's arrest, photostats of diplomas and emigration forms. There are two copies of a brochure Sadovskiĭ wrote about the Vitebsk Botanical Garden.

The papers include manuscripts on Turgenev, Fet, Blok, Bolshevism, WWI, and enlightened absolutism, copies of correspondence between Turgenev and Fet, and of letters from I︠A︡.N. Polonskiĭ, Nicholas II, P. Annenkov, and others. Also included are a printed article about a lecture on Polonskiĭ and Fet given by Nikolśkiĭ to the Pushkin Circle of Petrograd University, and a brochure of L'Institute d'Etudes Slaves (Paris).

There are letters from Boris Bakhmeteff, Pavel and Petr Dolgorukov, Zinaida Gippius, Aleksandr Kutepov, Dmitrii Merezhovskii, Bernard Pares, Ariadna Tyrkova-Williams, George Vernadsky, and Petr Vrangel. There is a short essay by Aleksandra Tolstaia about her father. The manuscripts relate to political, historical and sociological issues. Most of the subject files relate to emigre organizations other than the RNK, while those of the RNK are classified into files of financial records, bulletins, minutes and lists of names and addresses. Among the printed materials are brochures and pamphlets, clippings, newspapers, and books.
