Gerig, John L. (John Lawrence), 1878-1957

Correspondence, research notes, articles, clippings, photostats, and photographs. These files concern his interest in Pierre Bayle, Antoine Arlier, and the Renaissance in Provence, as well as the Romanic Review, philology, French, Spanish, and celtic studies. Among the correspondents are: Philippe Berthelot, Nicholas Murray Butler, F.R. Coudert, John H. Finley, the Prince de Ligne, Curtis Hidden Page, William B. Parsons, and Aime ́Puech.

New York City Opera
New York City Opera (NYCO) was famously dubbed "The People's Opera" by Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia at its founding in 1943. The Opera company's mission is to inspire audiences with innovative and theatrically compelling opera at an affordable price. This collection documents the artistic productions and the daily administrative functions and operations attest to the mission of the company. The materials in this collection consist of administrative and financial records, production files, stage guides, scores, correspondence, programs, photographs, posters, scenery plans, memorabilia, printed materials, and audio and video recordings, dating from 1924 to 2019, with its bulk dating from 1965 to 1991.

Kristeller, Paul Oskar, 1905-1999
Professional and personal papers of the German émigré scholar Paul Oskar Kristeller. Kristeller was a professor of philosophy at Columbia University and a world renowned scholar of Renaissance humanism and Renaissance philosophy who published widely, notably his major catalog of uncataloged manuscripts from the Italian Renaissance, the Iter Italicum.

Hazzard, Shirley, 1931-2016
Shirley Hazzard (1931-2016) was a novelist, short-story writer, and essayist. She also wrote two non-fiction books about the United Nations. Hazzard was born in Australia, but left the country in 1951, living in New York City and Capri, Italy. The papers include address books, appointment books, audiovisual materials, books, clippings, correspondence, diaries, manuscripts, notebooks, notes, photographs, printed materials, and research files.
