Invitation is white with light blue lettering and encased in a small gold colored frame with glass on both sides. The back of the invitation has signatures of the attendees.
Wooden frame with glass enclosing pen used by Governor Mario Cuomo to sign the Assembly Bill Number 10867 providing for the construction of the Center for Computer, Microelectronics and Telecommunications on the campus of Columbia University. Bill signed 30 July 1986.
Most likely a gift box present to Frank D. Fackenthal on his retirement/leaving Columbia in 1948. There is a cardboard box (red) with the initials F.D.F in silver. Inside is a metal box with engraved signatures of senior administrators across the lid (Carman, Gildersleeve, Pickel, Pegram, etc.) The box is empty, lined with red leather.
From the Gatekeeper's Lodge, one of the original buildings from the Bloomingdale Asylum (now CU's campus). 1879 is the date of construction of the building.
1st place plaque to Columbia University. Copy of prize winning treatise - "Business and Government: A Case Study of the Broadcasting Industry" - written by Caesar J. Belbel, Don W. Joe, and Kennth H. Young (all CC 1981). Donated by their professor/advisor C. Anthony Broh in January 2023. Includes a summary of what this competition was written by Broh.
