IFP in China started in 2001 and selected its last cohort in 2010. The Beijing Office of the Institute of International Education served as the partner institution. The program focused on social groups that lack opportunities to study, including the poor, minorities, women, and people with disabilities. The IFP office in China selected a total of 355 Fellows from 27 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions. 238 Fellows gave permission to make a portion of their files accessible to researchers. The documents are in Chinese and English.
