Archive of correspondence from Joan Antcliff, documenting her missionary service in Africa with eyewitness accounts of the Mozambican War for Independence. Various places including Vila Cabral, Maxixe, Msumba, Likoma Island, et al. The main body of Joan's correspondence spans from 1952 to 1972 and contains 302 letters composed in manuscript and type, as well as two postcards, a hand drawn map illustrating her place of service on Likoma Island, and a rare broadside soliciting donations for the repair of the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Likoma Island. Accompanying her correspondence are some letters and telegrams from people in her orbit between 1941 and 1950 and 1964 to 1970 plus a copy of her memoirs "Living in the Spirit" published in 2004.
