588 original 6 x 6 color transparencies of Columbia University and 820 35 mm original color transparencies of Columbia University taken primarily between the 1980s and 2000s. Images include: Columbia's Morningside Campus, Teacher's College, Barnard College, Rowing Center, Medical Campus, Other Graduate Schools, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Union and NY Theological Seminaries, Jewish Theological Seminary, Riverside Church, and St. Luke's Hospital.
Robert Gambee was asked to take photographs of Columbia University and its environs by the head of the Columbia University Club in New York. Having done two books on Princeton, Gambee envisioned this material would evolve into one on Columbia, but it ultimately did not.
