This collection contains liturgies, correspondence, litigation, ordination and Foreign Service documents, photographs, awards, newspaper articles, autobiography and books.

Biographical / historical:

Alison Palmer was a Foreign Service Officer for the US Department of State, and an Episcopal priest "irregularly" ordained in 1975 in Washington, DC as part of the "Washington 4"; she filed lawsuits for gender discrimination as a Foreign Service Officer and as Episcopal priest.

The contents of the final box in Series 5 are RESTRICTED until January 1, 2050. The remainder of the collection is open for research by appointment.
