Biographical / historical:

Wilbert Webster White was born in Nankin, Ohio on Jan. 16, 1863. He was awarded the Ph. D. from Yale in 1891. He became a professor at Xenia Theological Seminary, then became an associate directior of the Moody Bible Institute. In 1900 he founded the Bible Teachers Training College which later became the Winona Bible School and then the Biblical Seminary in New York. He retired from the presidency in Oct. of 1938. His death occurred Aug. 12, 1944. [Biblical Seminary became the New York Theological Seminary in 1966].
