This collection consists of Peppino Mangravite's correspondence and scrapbook from his tenure at Columbia University in the School of Painting and Sculpture, 1940s-1950s.
- Biographical / historical:

Peppino Mangravite (1896-1978) was a painter, mural painter, and art educator. Born in Lapari, Italy, he came to New York City in 1914. Mangravite was a Professor of Painting headed the School of Painting and Sculpture at Columbia University from 1942 to 1964 (Emeritus, 1964-1978).
