Scope and content:

A large, unorganized collection of papers, writings, and material. The collection is in terrible condition and in need of conservation.

Generally handwritten and typed manuscripts, correspondence, and notes on stationery and typing paper. Most boxes extremely dirty and poorly housed. Black folders used are deteriorating badly. Folders often labeled with thematic topics. Some boxes showed signs of mold, and were set aside for inspection.

Biographical / historical:

French poet, spiritualist, and experimental psychologist.

Restrictions:

CLOSED. Evaluated June 2021, collection cannot be made available in its current state. Material is unprocessed. Please contact rbml@columbia.edu for more information.
