This collection consists of the Center for the Study of Global Habitability cooperative agreement and administrative files. It also contains records of the related University Seminar.
- Biographical / historical:

The Center for the Study of Global Habitability was established as a project of the Office of the Provost in September 1983. Ruth A. Levenson served as its director. The Center focused on the global changes resulting from the interventions of man on the environment. The Center led a University Seminar, whose objective was to define, discuss and illuminated the scientific and social issues relating to the environment of the plane and man's impact on it.
