Scope and content:

The collection consists of scrapbooks, lectures, sermons and correspondence; much of the correspondence is between various members of the Brown family, including W.A. Brown's parents, wife, and children.

Biographical / historical:

William Adams Brown was a Presbyterian minister, an ecumenist, and a Professor of Systematic Theology at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He also served as Secretary of the General War-time Commission of the Churches during WWI.
