This collection contains one bound notebook of Stimson's handwritten class notes, taken while attending Union Theological Seminary from 1866 to 1867. Included are notes on lectures given by R.D. Hitchcock and W.G.T. Shedd.
- Biographical / historical:

Henry Albert Stimson was an American clergyman born in 1842. Stimson resided in New York City and attended Union Theological Seminary between 1866 and 1869, where he sat in on lectures by Roswell D. Hitchcock and W.G.T. Shedd. During his lifetime he published a number of books on preaching and Protestantism, including Questions of Modern Inquiry; A Series of Discussions (1895), The Place of Christian Education in the Civilization of the West (1881), The New Things of God: Sermons (1908), and Behind the World and Beyond (1910). Stimson died on July 18, 1936.
