The collection contains a set of illustrations made by the artist Serge Czerefkow in 1927 for Anatole France's THAÏS. They were made for the Paris publisher Ren'e Kieffer. Included are 29 original drawings and sketches (#s 1-29) and 4 sets of 20 etchings each, printed as follows: #30-49 printed on satin, first state; #50-69 printed on satin, second state; #70-89 printed on parchment, first state; #90-109 printed on parchment, second state
