Scope and content:

Correspondence, reports, and publications. Much of the material in the collection consists of second-hand reports on events in Germany and on prominent Germans throughout the world. The attitudes and activities of the Society are best illustrated in its publication"Prevent World War III" a complete run of which is located at the end of the collection

Biographical / historical:

Founded at the end of the Second World War, the Society concerned itself with the problems of dealing with post-war Germany. The issues in which it was most interested were de-Nazification and de-industrialization, and many of its records relate to former Nazi leaders or German industrialists who assumed or attempted to assume positions of power after the war.

Boxes 2-12 (arranged materials) are located off-site. You will need to request this material at least three business days in advance to use the collection in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library reading room.
