Records of literary agents Paul Revere Reynolds, founder of Paul R. Reynolds agency, and his son, Paul Revere Reynolds, Jr. The records consist of correspondence, contracts, scripts, and financial records. The files are rich in correspondence between authors and agents and provide important information about some of the most significant works published in the last seventy years.

Paul Revere Reynolds (1864-1944) founded the first literary agency in America when he established the Paul R. Reynolds agency in New York in 1893. Together with his son, Paul Revere Reynolds, Jr. (1904-1988), he handled some of the most prominent British and American authors of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The son joined his father in 1923 and later became president of the agency.
