Judge from Martinsburg, Va. Philip Pendleton's nephew, John P. Kennedy (1795-1870) was a member of the House of Representatives, 1838-1844, and the Maryland House of Delegates, and held other appointive political offices. Kennedy's literary pseudonym was Mark Littleton.
