Scope and content:: The collection consists of 484 letters written by Jonathan Nathan to his college classmate, Hamilton Fish, Sr. (1808-1893). The letters seem to have been written between the years 1843 and 1857 though many of them are undated. The letters are personal in nature, dealing with daily activities, friends, and travel.
Biographical / historical:: Graduate of Columbia College, Class of 1827.
