The correspondence consists primarily of material relating to publications Morris edited or proposed for the Legal History Committee of the American Historical Association. Also included in the collection are the notes, drafts, proofs, and memoranda of his writings, as well as correspondence pertaining to the activities of the American Historical Association and other learned societies.
