The manuscript diaries, in 4 notebooks, cover from 1 September to 28 December 1939, and discuss events in the city.

Biographical / historical:

Semenov, an officer in the Russian Imperial Guards, in 1920-1928 was president of the Russian Committee (Rossiĭskiĭ Komitet) in Warsaw. He was in that city, staying in the hotel "Bristol" in the fall of 1939.
