Scope and content:

Manuscript memoirs (ca. 200 p.) in the form of 20 brief essays. The memoirs cover the period 1900-1920.

Biographical / historical:

Evgenii Mortimerovich Brofel'dt (ca.1880-1929), poet, served in the Tsarist prison administration as vice-governor of Volyn', in Skoropadskyi's Ukrainian government in 1918, and in the White Volunteer army (Dobrovol'cheskaia Armiia). Evacuated at the end of Jan. 1920 - Mar. 1920 from Novorossiisk to Saloniki on the ship "Hannover". In emigration in Belgrade.
