Scope and content:: Photographs, subject files, and printed materials of and concerning Mitrofan P. Bogaevskiĭ. There are two photographs of him in his coffin. A subject file concerns student organizational life at St. Petersburg University in 1906-07 (Bogaevskiĭ was a member of the Soviet Starost -- Council of Representatives -- of the students of the University). Among printed materials are several pamphlets on education from the period 1881-1914, and a posthumous collection of essays dedicated to his memory.
Biographical / historical:: Don Cossack political leader during the Civil War and brother of General Afrikan Bogaevskiĭ.
