Scope and content:

Almost all the manuscripts collected by Pauker are in Hungarian, and most are typewritten. The great majority of the manuscripts are plays and operetta librettos. The writers most amply represented in the collection include Boross Elemʹer, Drʹegely Gʹabor, Fodor Lʹaszlʹo, Lʹaszlʹo Miklos, Orbok Attila, Vaszary Jʹanos, Ladislaus Lakatós, Menyhért Lengyel, Béla Szenes, and Viktor Kelemen; also included are a novel by Körmendi Ferenc and a few stories.

Biographical / historical:

Hungarian-born literary agent and play broker in New York who represented European, especially Hungarian, playwrights, as well as some American writers.
