Lang's memoirs "The Insurgent (Makhno) Army in Ekaterinoslav" give her memories of the Makhno army's occupation of Ekaterinoslav in late 1919; also included are some contemporary topical songs.

Biographical / historical:

Ph.D. 1962, taught at Columbia University in 1969-71 and was the author of "Chinese Family and Society" (New Haven, Conn., 1946) and "Pa Chin and His Writings" (Cambridge, Mass., 1967).
