Mayer's news bulletins, with some related correspondence, 1946-1954, some undated, contain descriptions of his work on city planning, rural development, architectural, and engineering projects in India, particularly the rural development projects at Etawah and elsewhere in Uttar Pradesh. Also, Mayer's impressions of India, his colleagues, Jawaharal Nehru and other Indian government officials, Indian-American relations, and personal matters.
